Implementing the sustainability strategy, customer evaluation is very important for us. One of our goals is to become the most sustainable partner for its customers in the beverage industry segment by 2025. To become the first sustainable choice among the companies in our field, we are committed to constantly reviewing and improving our operating principles, taking into account the opinions of our customers, and therefore we are starting to measure our progress with annual customer surveys.

Support for sports and culture

We regularly participate in various sports, art, music events and city celebrations. Panevėžys – the hometown of Kalnapilis – is close to our heart. We try to be good neighbours, foster a sense of community and promote the well-being of the city and its people. With our initiatives and supported projects, we aim to create a more beautiful Panevėžys – full of culture and sports.

We are the sponsors of the Cido Arena, which is particularly important for the public life of the city. We support the Panevėžio Lietkabelis basketball club in the national championship battles, the Panevėžys football team in the Lithuanian Football A League championship, as well as cycling and Panevėžys’ cycling club Dviračiai.

To ensure the city’s life is rich in both sports and culture, in addition to sports, we cooperate with the organisers of the International Art Glass Creators Symposium ‘Glass Jazz’. We have been supporting Panevėžys’ birthday events for many years.

We joined the Panevėžys restoration initiative and financially contributed to the renovation of the Senvagė water treatment pumping tower. The building was decorated with an art installation created by Kotryna Opanovičiūtė, a student at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, who won the artists’ competition.

In 2020, we started our cooperation with Panevėžys Development Agency, which aims to develop industrial tourism in Panevėžys – Kalnapilis Brewery has become an attractive part of the tourism promotion programme.

For contribution to the development of Panevėžys region, promotion of its growth and support in 2021, Kalnapilio–Tauro Grupė was awarded the ‘Label of Gratitude’ by the Council of the Panevėžys Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (CCIC). The award is for “active community engagement, community building and support for the region’s physicians and medical facilities facing the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic”.

Charity

We also address sensitive social problems by providing support and developing long-term partnerships. The friendship between the Order of Malta Relief Organisation and Kalnapilio-Tauro Grupė began in 2007 and continues to this day.

We provide financial support to the Maltesers’ Soup campaign, help raise funds for charity events and donate our products (drinking water, soft drinks). The Maltesers’ Christmas Soup campaign has already become an integral tradition of our employees.

Responsible consumption campaigns

Being responsible for alcoholic products means giving priority to quality and value over quantity. We have a responsibility to promote responsible consumption and to support initiatives against driving under the influence.

Sustainable advertising

We care not only about the sustainability of the packaging of our products, but also about the sustainability of advertising. To minimise our environmental impact, we give priority to recyclable, recycled or long-lasting advertising materials. At the events we sponsor, we will encourage waste sorting and the use of reusable cups.
